Elvis Davis was appointed to Wesley in 1999, after retiring from active ministry where he served a number of churches in the Beaumont area. Elvis married his wife Lena 54 years ago and together they have two daughters, one son, and six grandsons. He taught accounting, practiced public accounting, and served small churches for 16 years before retiring from Lamar University.

Elvis says, “I love to preach, teach, pray and sing — not well, but with joy.” Now at Wesley he has found an ideal place for a nearly retired teacher-preacher. He loves the challenge of being a part of a larger church, having many needs to serve, and according to Elvis, “A lot of people to love and to pray for."
