NEW!!! 6-Week Wednesday night Class for Young Adults

Taught by Pastor Robert and Scott Renick

In 2007, David Kinnaman and Gabe Lyon published results of some research with young adults and found that 87% of young adults who are not involved in church described Christians as judgmental and 85% of them described Christians as hypocritical.

This class will address both the attitudes and actions of Christians who get it wrong and the beliefs that are most often cited as problematic by non-Christians. Each week, we’ll talk about what it looks like when Christians get it right too!

The material being used is Rev. Adam Hamilton’s “When Christians Get It Wrong”. Adam is senior pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas; one of the fastest-growing, most highly visible churches in the country.

All young adults (aged 20-35 ish), are invited to this 6-week class series beginning on Wednesday, February 29; from 6:00 – 7:15 pm each week. Dinner is served in the dining hall from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at $5.00 per adult and $3.00 per child. Child care is provided through the Wednesday night “Adventure Club” activities.

Mission

Wesley has a lot of local and international mission projects. We will be deciding which ones we want to become involved with. Bring your ideas. Some options are Boys Haven, Girls Haven, Mexico and Haiti children's homes (MOSAIC), or other Partners in Mission projects.
