Wesley Singles (Duct Tape Bible) at 10:30am in Teachers Workroom.
All adult classes will welcome you, so please come to class at 9:15am or 10:30am.
You are always welcome to visit any class.
We hope you will join us.
If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Wineva Hankamer.
Smart Set Class: Brides’ Room off the Parlor
This is Wesley’s oldest Sunday class (i.e. have been together the longest period of time!) and the “oldest” group—with members from their fifties to their nineties! However, they would gladly welcome “younger” members. They focus their study on the International Bible Study and are led by several class members and guest teachers.
Fellowship Seekers Class: 106
Open to all, this class calls themselves a fellowship of believers and through open, voluntary discussion they teach one another and learn together. Currently studying with the Seekers Sunday School Class in Room 106.
50-50 Class: Room 101
Couples and singles, generally senior citizens, with several teachers from the membership—books studied are selected by the class. This group is fun-loving and often enjoy social time together outside of church.
Friendship Class: Room 102
A small class of mature ladies who care about and enjoy each other’s company in both church and social settings, this group has a guest teacher once a month as they study the International Lesson Series.
Fidelis Class: Room 103
For women only, this class is one of the largest ones at Wesley. Describing themselves as “always faithful,” they are a loving and caring group of friends with praying hearts. With guest teachers, they learn from the International Lesson series and Holy Bible.
Bible Study Class: Room 104
Welcoming all adults of all ages, couples and singles, this class does an in-depth study of the Bible from cover to cover. Several class members lead this long-standing group’s study each week as they make their way verse-by-verse through God’s Word.
Seekers’ Class: Room 106
The Seekers is a very high-spirited group with lots of discussion. It includes couples and singles, from 20 years and up! Currently studying with Fellowship Class members, led by Don Sample, in a Bible Study, book to book.
AAA Class: Room 105
Everyone is welcome to join this group. They use a discussion-based format with the International Lesson Series to cover contemporary issues along with the Bible study.
Men’s Bible Study Class: Room 107
If the average age in this country is 34, this group is way above average! They follow the Bible and the International Lesson Series and have a couple of regular teachers from their membership. This genuinely nice group of mature gentlemen is known around Wesley by their nickname: The Grumpy Old Men.
Kitchen Class: Teachers’ Workroom
A coffee-drinking, very social group of mature men, this group is doing an ongoing, in-depth study of the Bible. Any interested men are invited to join the class for their study on Sundays.
Out of the Box: A Class for Young Couples
in Room 202
Current events and how we live biblically with ourselves and our families in relation to the world will be the topics for discussion each Sunday. Adults teaching part time in children and youth classes are welcome to attend this group on the Sundays you are not teaching in the children and youth departments.
Singles (Adults 30+) Class: Teacher's Work Room
Our middle adult singles (you define "middle" adult) have begun meeting as a Sunday School Class at 10:30am for a Bible study to help meet the challenges of living faithfully in a secular society. If you have been looking for something that will meet your needs, please join us. We "Do Lunch" every Sunday at a local restaurant for more social time together. Join us for the Duct Tape Bible: Holding Your Life Together.
Transformers: Room 104
We have some new studies that we are looking at, and will be beginning something new right after Easter, so now's the time to come back, if you've been away. See you Sundays.
PUSH (Pray Until Something Happens) : Room 105
Bryan and Shelley Blevins lead a new class at 10:30am in Room 105. If you have been out of the Sunday School habit, and feel awkward joining an existing group, this is the place for you to grow in faith! Topics will be discussed and decided by the group.
Daily Walkers Class: Room 106
Singles and couples welcome! This is a large, lively group that enjoys discussion and Bible study using various books or versions of the Bible. The class has a facilitator, but is based on group conversation and discussion.
College Age & Young Adults Class: Room 102
Our College and Young Adult Minister, Josh Hale, has an exciting new study for adults under 30! Come join their studies and embark on a wonderful journey of prayer and spiritual growth. This fun group also takes occasional brunch breaks and leaves the church to share faith discussion over breakfast at a local restaurant. Lunch at local restaurants is also a favorite activity.
