To Know God And To Make God Known

Parmer Library

Parmer Memorial Library Will Be Open Soon!

Our Librarians went to the Church and Synagogue Library Assocation workshops where we learned how to repair books, plus  many tips to making our Parmer Library be a place you'll want to visit again and again.

The Library Ministry Team, under the leadership of Stacey Ramer, is doing several things to prepare the way for the re-opening of the library. Contact Stephanie Cummings or Wineva Hankamer for our wish list of titles for all ages. Other items on our wish list are on the next column.

This library will have an assortment of books, not just religious titles, but Christian and family friendly books so that the community can also use the library.

If you have books to donate, please remember that a small library does not have space to carry duplicate titles and we ask that you give us permission to pass your books on or place them in periodic book sales to benefit the Library.

The Library Wish  List

In addition to our Christian Education books, we are always looking for things to prepare the Library for reopening:

  • large bubble mirror for children's area
  • baskets for toddler books (5)
  • small colored dots in several colors to identify certain items
  • pink erasers for removing marks from books
  • clear corner savers for books
  • adhesive pick up rubber cement eraser
  • plastic label removers (3)
  • bone folder (for covering books)
We have several sources for these items, and can order them if you want to designate a gift to Library Wish List.

From time to time, you will see a recommended reading for Adult Sunday School teachers here. Children and Youth staff will also recommend books for children, youth and their parents.

 Sunday School Teacher Helps

The Parmer Library will have a set of Bible commentaries, a variety of Bible translations, maps, concordances, reference books and more. Teachers will be alerted to these when a new quarter begins.
